H-6. Printing and Copying
General Information
IU Southeast’s printing and copying services are managed through the Office of Information Technology and consist of three separate functions: student printing and copying, departmental and public copiers, and outsourced printing via the FedEx Office. In addition, official stationery products may be ordered from IU Printing Services.
Questions about printing or copying should be directed to the Office of Information Technology at 941-2287.
Student Printing and Copying
All IU Southeast students have access to printers and copiers in Student Technology Centers (STCs) across campus. While most locations have black-and-white printing capabilities, a few have color and/or copying capabilities. Students receive an allotment of pages based upon their total credit hours each semester. Unused allotments do not carry over.
Departmental and Public Copiers
Departments and schools on campus have at least one multi-function copy machine for faculty and staff use. Most of these machines can print, copy, and scan to fax or email. They are leased on a multi-year basis. Departments are charged a monthly lease fee plus a “click” charge per impression.
Account managers who want to add or delete employees’ access to/from the copier(s) they currently use should contact the IT department for assistance.
Offices must designate one or more key operators, who are responsible for explaining how to use the copier, correcting minor problems, and placing service calls. Key operators who are not satisfied with the performance of the company that is providing service should immediately direct their concerns or complaints to the Office of Information Technology. Key operators should order and keep copier supplies, such as paper and staples, available.
Additionally, a coin-operated copier is located near the circulation desk in the Library and is available for student and general public use.
For more information about departmental copiers, visit the Printing & Copiers page of the Technology Services website.
Printing via FedEx Office
Jobs too large or complex for office copiers can be sent to the FedEx office (formerly Kinko’s) for printing, copying, and finishing. The FedEx office offers quick turnaround time, desktop delivery, color printing/copying, and competitive pricing. All orders must be submitted electronically. For submission instructions, visit the Printing Services webpage.

Office stationary and other materials containing the Indiana University logo must be ordered directly from IU Printing Services in Bloomington. IU’s Integrated Image
The Integrated Image Program was initiated by the Trustees of Indiana University to help establish a unified, flexible set of standards and guidelines that enable all IU campuses, schools, and departments to contribute to and benefit from a cohesive identity system. Please contact Marketing & Communications at 941-2630 to obtain specific departmental “signature” files or with any questions regarding University graphic standards. For more information, visit the Visual Identity website.
If you are considering t-shirts, hats, or other IU or IU Southeast branded items, please consult Marketing & Communications at 941-2630. Such items are subject to regulations from the Office of Licensing and Trademarks and must be ordered from specific vendors.
General Information
Printing and Duplicating consists of two separate functions which are satellite copiers and the central copy center. Satellite copiers consist of both departmental/divisional copiers, exclusively for faculty and staff use, and all coin-operated copiers for student and general public use. The central copy center has capabilities not found elsewhere on campus, and is located in the service building. Inquiries regarding the services of satellite copiers or the central copy center should be directed to the staff of Printing and Duplicating at extension 2329.
Satellite Copiers
Satellite copiers are widely located throughout the campus for departments and faculty and staff use. Additionally, coin-operated copiers are located in the Crestview lobby, Knobview lobby, Athletics building lobby, Hillside Hall student lounge, and near the circulation desk in the Library, and are available for student and general public use.
Each building has at least one satellite copier to service faculty and staff. As an added service, the Printing and Duplicating department provides for delivery of paper and supplies on a weekly basis, and takes copier readings on a monthly basis. Account managers who want to add or delete employees to/from the copier(s) should contact the Printing and Duplicating department for assistance. Accounts are billed on a monthly basis via the FIS billing system. A detail sheet explaining all charges is sent to each account billed.
All copiers are under service agreement with the manufacturer or the manufacturer’s authorized service representative. IU Southeast personnel who have been designated as key operators are responsible for explaining how to use the copier, correcting minor problems, and placing service calls. Key operators who are not satisfied with the performance of the company that is providing service should immediately direct their concerns/complaints to the Printing and Duplicating Department. Key operators should order and keep copier supplies available. If no key operator is available, the Printing and Duplicating department should be contacted for assistance.
