HL Lyons III Memorial Scholarship
The HL Lyons III Memorial Scholarship Fund will provide assistance to help defray expenses for vocational and/or technical post-secondary educational courses or other such training that would help the recipient attain, sustain or expand their employability by learning new technical skills or trades. Applicants must have experience working in a technical trade, vocation or manufacturing job; or a demonstrated aptitude for a technical trade and/or vocation.
Eligibility
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED certificate with a cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Age 18 or above
- Resident of Jefferson, Shelby, Oldham or Bullitt Counties in Kentucky; Clark and Floyd Counties in Indiana
- Enrolled to attend a post-secondary institution or an accredited vocational or technical program
- Financial need is a consideration, but is not a requirement
- Preference given to those currently employed in the manufacturing field, or who has a parent who is currently employed by a manufacturing company
