Food, Drink, Cell Phone, & Quiet Zone Policy
Food and Drink Policy
Food for individual consumption and drinks are permitted in the Library.
Please respect the following guidelines:
- Use tops or lids on beverage containers (coffee cups with lids, twist-top bottles, travel mugs).
- Dispose of food and drink containers in trash cans or recycling bins.
- Alert library staff about any spills or messes so that we may preserve our library collections and protect our facility from pests and harmful molds.
Cell Phone Policy
Please make sure your phone is on vibrate when in the Library. If you must take a call, please be mindful of your volume, and minimize your conversation. If you need to have an in-depth phone conversation, please do so outside the building, in the lobby area, stairwell by the elevators, or an empty group study room (with the door closed).
Quiet Zone Policy
The bottom (first) floor of the Library is reserved for Quiet Study. If you are doing work which requires conversation, please go to another area of the Library so that those desiring a quiet environment for their study may use this floor.
