Admission Process
The IU Southeast School of Education accepts applications on a rolling basis. Applications are accepted anytime and reviewed up until the week before the term begins.
- For advising questions about the Master of Science in Education with a major in secondary education, contact Dr. Donna Albrecht at dalbrec@iu.edu or (812) 941-2594. You may request a phone, Zoom, or in-person advising meeting.
- Complete online application. The online application will prompt you for a brief personal statement and will ask you to upload a copy of current teaching license or statement of eligibility, if applicable for your program. (Please note that you may be eligible for a graduate program even if you don't have a current teaching license. Contact Dr. Albrecht for advising.)
- Submit official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work completed at institutions other than an IU school. A 2.5 GPA for all undergraduate course work and a 3.0 GPA for all graduate course work is required.
- Please send sealed official transcripts to the Student Records Specialist at the following address:
