Student Employment
Working on campus is a great way to work part time and earn money while taking classes. Your employer knows that you are a student and school is your top priority - plus most of the jobs are on or near campus! The Handshake job board features on-campus positions as well as work-study positions.
To find a position:
- Go to southeast.iu.edu/career and click "View Jobs and Internships." Log in with your campus username and passphrase.
- Click "Jobs" in the top left corner. Find positions by clicking "all Filters" and then "On Campus."
- To apply, read through descriptions to find opportunities that are interesting to you. Follow the directions under each position to apply for each one.
What’s the difference between on-campus employment and work study?
All of the positions listed are open to students, but only those that have applied for and received a work study award may be hired for work study positions. The majority of work study positions are on-campus, but there are others available in the community.
How do I know if I have a work study award?
Head over to One.IU and search for "View/Manage My Financial Aid Information" to find out.
If you don’t have a work study award, you can request one by emailing sesc@iu.edu from your IU email account.
