Career Opportunities

Students earning a degree from the Fine Arts program develop skills in research, critical thinking, collaboration, analysis, creative innovation, writing, and time management that are invaluable to an increasingly-expansive range of professional and artistic fields. These include careers as design strategists, artists, educators, curators, freelancers, gallery and arts administrators, studio managers, art directors, illustrators, entrepreneurs, videographers, and photographers, as well as the pursuit of degrees in competitive graduate programs. The art history concentration prepares students for graduate study as well as for positions in arts administration for museums, galleries, and other community arts organizations. Training in art history also provides students preparation for careers in business, communication, education, government, and law.
