Welcome JCTC and KCTCS/KY Students to IU Southeast!
IU Southeast welcomes transfer students from JCTC and KCTCS! If you were referred to Jefferson Community & Technical College (JCTC) or another KCTCS school by IU Southeast, complete the Bridges Program requirements for guaranteed admission to IU Southeast in a future semester. Already finished the Bridges requirements? Contact our Transfer Specialist for additional course options to ensure a smooth transition.
Bridges Program Requirements
The Bridges Program offers guaranteed admission for JCTC or KCTCS students who complete the requirements.
Requirements:
Complete the 12 credit hours listed below with a grade of “C” or higher:
- ENG 101* (3)
- 100-level math* (3)
- PSY 110 (3)
- COM 181 (3)
*These courses may require remedial coursework
Earn a cumulative 2.0 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale
Once you’ve completed the requirement, reapply to IU Southeast and provide updated transcripts to be admitted as a transfer student.
Crimson Advantage Program
Crimson Advantage is a special status, automatic transfer program between Jefferson Community & Technical College and Indiana University Southeast, allowing Jefferson students to move seamlessly after the completion of their associate degree to complete their bachelor's degree at IU Southeast.
What is Crimson Advantage?
Crimson Advantage streamlines your transfer from JCTC to IU Southeast, offering:
- Affordable, in-state tuition for residents of eligible Kentucky counties.
- Seamless credit transfer to complete your bachelor’s degree.
- IU Southeast CrimsonCard (University ID) and full library access.
