Programs and pathways to IU Southeast

JCTC & KTCTS/KY Students

IU Southeast welcomes transfer students from JCTC and KCTCS! We offer two specialized programs to meet your individual needs. The “Bridges Program” offers guaranteed admission to those referred to JCTC or another KCTCS institution for additional academic preparation.

Ivy Tech students

If IU Southeast referred you to Ivy Tech, complete the Partner's requirements for guaranteed future admission. If you've already met these requirements, consult our transfer specialist at transfer@iu.edu for other transferable course options.

Apply for financial aid.

Apply for financial aid to help fund your education. It’s easy—just fill out the FAFSA to see what assistance you’re eligible for.

When to apply

The application process opens one year before your intended entry. For Fall 2025, it opens August 1, 2024. Start early for a smooth process.

Application deadline

Applications for admission and all supporting materials, including any required transcripts, must be received 10 days prior to the beginning of the semester in which you plan to enroll (7 days prior to summer sessions).

Scholarships and financial aid

Apply by the March 10th priority deadline to maximize financial aid and scholarships. The scholarship application and FAFSA open in October. Use IU Southeast’s school code: 001817 when completing the FAFSA.

Next steps and registration

After admission, key information, including registration details, will be mailed in early April. Be sure to pay your tuition and fees by the deadline on your account statement.

How do you decide who is admitted?

These are our standards and requirements for admission to IU Southeast:

  • Your admission to IU Southeast is considered primarily based on high school curriculum and GPA.
  • Indiana students are expected to have completed or be on track to complete Indiana's Core 40 diploma.
  • Applicants from outside Indiana should have completed or be on track to complete 26 "college prep" units.
