Student nursing organizations at IU Southeast
With a membership of approximately 50,000 nursing students nationwide, the National Student Nurses’ Association mentors the professional development of future nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, and career guidance. IU Southeast School of Nursing students are encouraged to join the SNA as sophomores to gain experience for leadership positions in the association as juniors and seniors.

Sigma Theta Tau
Senior nursing students are eligible to apply for membership in the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of the nursing profession. Information about application and eligibility are on the Sigma Theta Tau website.
