Sanders Financial Markets Lab
The Sanders Financial Markets Lab is the first and most advanced classroom of its kind in the region. Made possible through the vision and generosity of IU Southeast School of Business alumnae Judge Carlton and Sue Sanders, the Financial Markets Lab is a state-of-the-art facility with data, analytical, technological, and other resources that rival those found in real-world trading rooms. The lab also provides training space for corporate partners in the financial services industry throughout the Greater Louisville region.
You’ll use the lab in many of our undergraduate and graduate courses and you’ll have the opportunity to be a part of teams competing in the CFA Investment Challenge. Participate in managing the IU Southeast Student Investment Fund as part of your learning experience.
Through the IU Southeast Financial Markets Lab and the Student Investment Fund, you’ll gain access to unique, cutting-edge hands-on learning opportunities not available in other area business programs.
Sanders Professional Sales Center
Our state-of-the-art Sanders Professional Sales Center (SPSC) is designed to draw high-ability students toward selling as a career, and to better prepare those students—regardless of major—for early success in professional selling careers. The SPSC offers a unique opportunity to connect with sales professionals in the Kentuckiana region.
The primary goal of the SPSC is to prepare students of any major for careers in sales. Using the SPSC, you’ll gain sales experience by engaging in role play competitions, internships, and role-playing exercises. You’ll hear from guest speakers and be a part of panel discussions, leading to incredible career opportunities. whether you are a business student looking for a career in business-to-business sales or as a financial advisor, a biology major wishing to pursue a career in medical or pharmaceutical sales, or a journalism major interested in becoming an account executive in media sales, the SPSC will prepare you for your future.
The Graduate Center
At our Graduate Center, we provide innovative, cutting-edge curriculum for students in our M.B.A., Master of Science in Strategic Finance, and Master of Science in Management programs Located at 300 Water Tower Square in Jeffersonville, Indiana, at the foot of the Clark Memorial Bridge, our Graduate Center is unrivaled in the region and allows us to offer the most relevant and practical learning opportunities possible.
Our Graduate Center has all of the amenities you’d expect in a nationally ranked graduate business program. The Collaborative Computer Classroom is the most advanced of its kind in the region. The design allows for a more interactive approach for instruction in financial and economic research and advanced modeling and simulation, as well as group collaboration and the preparation of presentations. The board room, or seminar room includes an intuitive 80-inch touch screen monitor allowing electronic presentation and collaboration to be shared with entire groups. Our remaining reconfigurable classrooms are perfect for seminars and group work with state-of-the-art technology.
