Your registration date depends on your student status. To stay on track and secure the classes you need, register as early as you're eligible.
Current students
You'll be assigned a priority registration time based on their academic progress. New undergraduate, graduate, and professional students register during open registration, which begins after your respective orientation and continues into the start of classes.
Returning students
If you recently attended IU Southeast as an undergraduate student but took a semester off, you can register during priority registration. If you’re a graduate or professional student who has taken no more than 24 months off, talk to your advisor and submit a term activation request to the Graduate School. If you’ve been away for longer periods, you will need to reapply for admission.
Students visiting from another IU campus
If you're currently taking classes at one IU campus and want to enroll in a course at IU Southeast, you'll need to apply as a temporary intercampus transfer first. Undergraduate students in good standing can submit the application through One.IU. Graduate and professional students will have different steps and eligibility requirements, so check with your program. Temporary intercampus transfer students can register during open registration.

Non-degree or visiting students
Students who want to take undergraduate classes without pursuing a degree (known as auditing) and those who are visiting from another university can register during open registration—just be sure to review your steps to apply first. Non-degree graduate students can apply at any time.
