Degrees
The Music Department at Indiana University Southeast offers two degrees in Music: The B.A. in Music and the B.S. in Music. Both degrees offer students rigorous programs that combine a breadth of musical and academic study. Students engage in a full range of music courses that includes performance, music theory, music history and music technology, as well as classes appropriate for the focus of their selected concentration in the degree.
The Bachelor of Science in Music provides a basic foundation of academic courses in general education but focuses more heavily on courses in the major. Concentrations in this degree are designed to give students intensive study and practical experience in their chosen field. Indiana University Southeast offers the B.S. degree in Music with concentrations in the following areas:

- Instrumental and General Music P-12
- Music Business
The Bachelor of Arts in Music combines four areas of study: courses in the major concentration, ensemble performance, academic music courses, and courses in general education. The breadth of study in the liberal arts combined with a strong foundation in music allows for future professional flexibility.
