The Office of Study Abroad and Global Awareness (SAGA) offers a wide variety of internationally-oriented events on campus each year, including the Wares of the World fair trade event and the International Education Week in the fall and the International Festival in the spring.
Students can also participate in international and cultural activities through a variety of student organizations.
There is a wide range of opportunities for involvement in internationally-oriented activities for students at IU Southeast. Some of these activities are on-going throughout the year, others are short-term commitments. We encourage students to include participation in campus activities as an important and valuable part of the college experience.
If you are learning French or would like to maintain your French skills or learn more about the Francophone world, you should consider participating in the French Club. It is a great opportunity to explore the language and cultures where French is spoken, ranging from France to Canada to the Caribbean and Africa.

Students of Spanish and those interested in practicing, improving, or maintaining their Spanish-language skills are invited to join the Spanish Club. The club engages in a variety of social activities, including dining at some of the restaurants in the area that feature cuisine from the Spanish-speaking world.

Each year in the fall semester, a team of approximately 12 IU Southeast students participates in the Model United Nations Security Council Simulation sponsored by the Indiana Consortium for International Programs (ICIP). After weeks of guided preparation, teams of students represent the member countries of the UN Security Council in seeking solutions to some of the world's more challenging problems, such as nuclear proliferation or the Arab-Israeli Conflict. The team preparation usually begins in mid-September and the simulation is usually held in Indianapolis in mid-November. The following week, team members and other interested students assist in hosting the annual High School Model United Nations Simulation on the campus of IU Southeast.
