Chancellor’s Honors Program Scholarship

The Honors Program awards scholarships ranging from $250 to $2000, and students in good standing with the Program may reapply each year for up to four years. To apply for a Chancellor’s Honors Program Scholarship, Honors Program students must complete the General Scholarship Application.

This has two distinct benefits for you as an Honors student:

1. In completing the General Scholarship Application, you become eligible for MANY scholarships across campus.
2. In completing the Honors Scholarship Application, you have a chance to share information about your progress and your challenges.

The General Scholarship Application is open from October 1^st until March 10^th each year, and you can amend your application once it’s been submitted. The Chancellor’s Honors Scholarship Application includes the following components:

External Factors
You are invited to share any external factors impacting your academic journey, including (but not limited to): off-campus commitments (e.g. caregiving responsibilities), athletic involvement, military status, First Generation college student status, identifying with an underrepresented group (e.g. BIPOC, LGBTQIA+), degree pursuit (e.g. you represent an underrepresented group in your field, such as women in STEM programs), disability status (including visible and invisible disabilities), or any other factor you would like the Honors Council to consider while reviewing your scholarship application.

General Scholarship Application
The Honors Council also reviews your General Scholarship Application (that way you don’t have to enter the same information twice), so you’re encouraged to compose a thoughtful essay for the General Scholarship Application as well.

Remember
Only students admitted into the Honors Program are eligible to apply for the Chancellor’s Honors Program Scholarship.
