Job requests performed by the Facility Operations team require that a work order be processed.
Our primary method is to complete the web based request form available on this web site. The requester completes all required information and upon submission, the information is automatically sent to the Facility Operations office for processing. The required information includes:
- Name of requester
- IU email address
- Phone number
- Room number or location of work
- Brief description of the problem or work being requested
Emergency situations should be phoned in to Facility Operations at (812) 941-2330, but all other requests must be received in writing. For emergency situations after normal business hours contact University Police at (812) 941-2400.
Large remodeling projects are also done under the supervision of the Facility Operations Administrative Office. Project funding and approval is required by the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Affairs.
For some jobs, the cost of labor and materials will be covered by Facility Operations. For other projects, the cost of materials and labor may be charged to the requester.
The Administrative Office also acts as a liaison between IU Southeast, IU Bloomington, and surrounding community when necessary. In this capacity, Facility Operations Administration, under the direction of the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Affairs, is actively involved in long and short-term planning and development of the campus.
