As a public university serving southern Indiana and the Louisville metropolitan area, IU Southeast’s mission includes helping businesses, government agencies, and non-profits better serve their customers and their communities through:

  • Assessments and program evaluations
  • World-class research and data analysis
  • Professional consultation by our faculty and senior level students

Services include but are not limited to quantitative research on critical community issues, consultative services with entrepreneurs needing help to fund and launch their business concepts, and strengthening local non-profits through better business practices and marketing. We serve the needs of our region and community partners by developing projects that engage our faculty and students, addressing real issues with actionable solutions.

Applied Research & Education Center (AREC)

The Applied Research & Education Center (AREC) brings the research skills and expertise of our academic experts together with the practical knowledge and experience of local agencies to help organizations improve programs and services that benefit the community. AREC is a fee-for-service operation that bring current data and research to help local leaders make informed decisions and develop programs that can best meet area needs.

Novaparke Innovation & Technology Campus

As a partner of the Floyd County Novaparke Innovation & Technology Campus, IU Southeast School of Business faculty and students help fledgling entrepreneurs develop into the business powerhouses of the future. From consultation and business plan development to business seminars and training sessions, IU Southeast provides services from pitch to production at the area’s newest technology hub. Additionally, faculty from the IU Southeast School of Natural Sciences will assist in wet and dry laboratory spaces, providing the technical know-how to bring products to market.

Talent Development

From customized leadership development training to sales and negotiation coaching, the IU Southeast School of Business has a program to help you boost your workforce for short-term, long-term, or executive growth. Additionally, graduate programs, certifications, and flexible program offerings allow any individual or business to develop new skills, offering employers specialized incentives to employees that will help with retention and satisfaction.
