Arriving on campus
Commencement will be held at the Caesars Foundation of Floyd County Amphitheater behind the Ogle Center. The procession begins at 9:30* a.m., and the Commencement ceremony follows at 10 a.m. *Note: The processional start time is approximate.
Parking
General Event parking will be available in Lots 1-Evergreen West, 2-Evergreen East, 3-Woodside, and 10-Willow. Accessible parking will be available in Lots 4-Central and 5-Dogwood. Vehicles without proper identification (handicap plates/hangtags) will be redirected to General Event parking.
Please follow signs and the IU Police Department / Event Staff directions to parking areas. DO NOT park in the grass.
The campus map will help you identify the buildings and parking lots.
Departing Campus
Exiting onto Grant Line Road from the Main Entrance/Exit
only right turns will be permitted onto Grant Line Road. You will be able to connect with I-265 East or West.
Exiting onto Grant Line Road from the Ogle Entrance/Exit
only left turns will be permitted onto Grant Line Road; or you may choose to go straight onto Klerner Lane:
- Left on Grant Line
turn right onto St. Joseph Road and follow to Charlestown Road to connect with I-265 East or West. - Straight onto Klerner Lane
turn left onto Mt. Tabor Road, then left onto Charlestown Road to connect with I-265 East or West.
Exiting onto Hausfeldt from Southern Drive
only right turns will be permitted onto Hausfeldt. Turn left onto Green Valley Road, then left onto State Street/Indiana's Historic Pathways-South Spur to connect with I-265 East or West.
Graduation Photos
Photographs may be taken during the ceremony, but you may be restricted from certain areas. We contract a photographer to capture graduates in their caps and gowns holding their diploma covers as they step away from the stage. Proofs and order forms will be mailed after graduation, or you can preorder.
Accessibility Information
Our trained Commencement organizers provide services to graduates and guests who need accommodations. IU Southeast will also have an ALS interpreter at the ceremony, and closed captioning will be provided both on the screens and live streams.
