At IU Southeast, you can take your associate degree—or a minimum or 30 credit hours of coursework, including pre-nursing courses—and apply it toward a university degree.

Our 100% online Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Science is designed for students who are seeking a broad understanding of the science of human health for a career in the healthcare field. It prepares students for entry- and mid-level positions in both for-profit and not-for-profit health-related organizations.

The Health Administration track focuses on healthcare organization, planning, budgeting, finance, supervision, and resource management. Students will be prepared for both administrative and management roles in a variety of health-related organizations.

The Health Administration track focuses building the skills needed to direct activities in healthcare organization, planning, budgeting, and finance. An administrator's responsibilities often involve elements of budgeting, planning, overseeing systems, maintaining community outreach, and recruiting and managing personnel. Healthcare administrators also direct changes that conform to healthcare laws, regulations, and technology.

The online program covers the basic technical and applied aspects of health science. Courses include healthcare delivery and leadership, health communication, policy, and ethics. Students learn about the economics of health care and receive foundational knowledge in legal matters.
