Requirements Once Admitted
Once admitted into the program, the student must meet defined criteria to claim the provisional seat reserved in the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Those criteria are as follows:
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 for the first 31 undergraduate hours and a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 from 62 hours until Baccalaureate degree is completed.
- Students must take the MCAT and obtain a score equal to the average of the previous year's entering class at Indiana University School of Medicine.
- Completion of required coursework including courses designed specifically for the B/MD program.
- Completion of the AMCAS application and interview for the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Students may major in any field but must complete specified courses for this program and application to medical school. If a student fails to meet the above requirements, they will not be allowed to matriculate directly into the Indiana University School of Medicine. The student may seek admission to the School of Medicine through normal pathways, including the interview.
