Our Master of Interdisciplinary Studies (M.I.S.) gives you the flexibility to design your own degree, one that blends your interests, talents and experience in a body of work that demonstrates a broad knowledge base and command of methods of inquiry across multiple disciplines; an ability to critically analyze information and communicate effectively; and the capacity to apply learning to make informed decisions.
Students choose graduate courses and seminars in a variety of disciplines within the schools of arts and letters and the sciences, before preparing a culminating thesis. You may choose to focus on one of our market-ready concentrations:
- Applied Behavioral Sciences
- Applied Science & Instruction
- Digital Media
- Gender Studies
- Health Humanities
- International Studies
- Organizational Leadership and Communication
- Post-Secondary Instruction
Or you may decide to go your own way, and blaze a trail that suits your own goals.
A Master of Interdisciplinary Studies opens doors to a wide variety of fields. Alumni of this program are working in marketing, law, social services and more, and many have continued their education in Ph.D. programs. The options are truly infinite.
