General Requirements
The Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies (M.I.S.) at IU Southeast is a fully accredited master’s degree, comprising 34 credit hours composed of foundational coursework, electives and a graduate thesis project.
Interdisciplinary Studies, the basis of an interdisciplinary education, involves the study of the world around us and the choices we face as we live in this world. An interdisciplinary education helps us understand who we are, what we are, and where we are. It encourages us to communicate better with those around us.
The M.I.S. program allows students to design their own course of graduate study. For those students who prefer more guidance in their selection of a course of study, concentrations within the program are available.
- Applied Behavioral Sciences
- Applied Science & Instruction
- Digital Media
- Gender Studies
- Health Humanities
- International Studies
- Organizational Leadership and Communication
- Post-Secondary Instruction
Students are not required to select one of these concentrations; they are optional.
