The Scholarship

Reece Grace is a junior majoring in criminal justice/criminology with a minor in computer science. A Louisville Western High School graduate, Grace works for Educational Justice, a non-profit organization that connects high achieving high school students with middle school students and 5^th grade students who need tutoring. On campus, Grace works as a receptionist in the multicultural student center, a student leader for the Reading, Writing and Peopling Program, and orientation leader.

Hailing from Olathe, Kansas, Keziah Jones is a junior studying nursing at IU Southeast. Jones is currently working as a nursing assistant at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. On campus activities include serving on the Student Government Association and as a chair of the Honors Program Student Advisory Board.

Courtney Kessinger, a junior from Greenville, Indiana, is studying journalism, media, and strategic communication – multimedia journalism, and working at the Floyd County Prosecutor’s Office as a legal intern. Her dream is to attend law school and become a practicing attorney. Additionally, she has been a family nanny for the past five years.

Brownstown Indiana native, Hannah Fisher, is a senior majoring in international business with a concentration in Latin America and a minor in Spanish. Hannah plans to complete her bachelor’s degree then get a master’s in human resources management from IU Southeast while continuing working for Rose Acre Farms, where she has worked since high school. Hannah is the event coordinator for the Honor’s Program.

Sierra French is an English major pursuing a pre-law minor. Sierra currently serves as a Co-Chair on the Honors Program Student Advisory Board alongside Keziah Jones. She has been heavily involved in the program and plans to graduate as an Honors Fellow. Currently, Sierra works at the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office as a Legal Assistant and plans to attend IU McKinney School of Law in the fall. Sierra is from New Albany, IN.

Jack Harrison graduated early, finishing his degree in business management with minors in entrepreneurship and psychology in December. Originally from LaGrange, KY, Jack, and his wife, now reside in New Albany where they have recently started a business together. Jack is employed by American Commercial Barge Line in their Logistics department and serves as a leader in Graceland Church’s student ministry.

Ashton Minton also graduated in December, with a degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics. Ashton hopes to teach and become a head basketball and baseball coach, with future aspirations to become an athletic director.
