M.S. in Education, Elementary Education Concentrations

Educational Leadership Prepare to take on leadership roles in your school, district, or other educational organization. Earn your K-12 building-level administrator's license (principal's license) with this concentration.

ENL/ESL Enhance your skills when teaching English to speakers of other languages. The ENL/ESL concentration includes the coursework necessary for a P-12 license addition in teaching English as a New Language. It also allows Indiana teachers to meet qualifications for serving as "EL teacher of record."

Gifted and Talented Learn specialized strategies to teach gifted and talented and high ability students. This concentration includes the coursework necessary for a license addition in teaching High Ability/Gifted and Talented.

Music Gain in-depth knowledge of music education and an understanding of theories relating to teaching strategies and learning. A significant portion of graduate coursework may be taken in applied study through instrumental or vocal lessons.

Reading Expand your expertise in literacy and prepare to serve as a reading coach. Pursue this concentration to complete the coursework necessary for a P-12 license addition in Reading.

Special Education Enhance the skills you need to address the needs of students with mental, emotional, learning and other differences or disabilities. Earn your P-12 license addition for Exceptional Needs, Mild Intervention using the coursework in this concentration.

Technology Sharpen your ability to integrate technology into the classroom with classes ranging from computer-based teaching methods to workshops in the use of multimedia in instructional design. Complete the coursework in this concentration to earn a P-12 license addition in Computer Education.
