The chief operating officer of IU Southeast, Chancellor Debbie Ford, is responsible for the administration and management of the campus.

Other university advisors include the Board of AdvisorsFaculty Senate, the Alumni Board, and Staff CouncilStudent government represents students’ concerns to the chancellor and the board of trustees.

Dr. Debbie Ford assumed the role of Chancellor of IU Southeast on July 1, 2023. Dr. Ford holds her B.S. from the University of Louisville, her Master of Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University, and her Doctor of Education from the University of Louisville.

Dr. Michelle Williams
Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Dr. Williams is the executive vice chancellor for academic affairs (EVCAA) serving as the chief academic officer of IU Southeast. The EVCAA serves as the senior administrative officer of the campus in the absence of the chancellor. Williams is responsible for the management, quality, development, coordination, evaluation, and promotion of all academic programs and courses on or off the IU Southeast campus. She also oversees all faculty matters and provides supervisory oversight of the allocation of resources to the academic units and support departments. Additionally, the EVCAA oversees the development and utilization of learning resources, including the library, supplemental instruction, and online learning systems; develops programs to improve the quality of teaching and learning, encourages and supports faculty research and creative work, and promotes the cultural and intellectual growth of the academic community.

Executive Vice Chancellor Williams earned her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, her Master of Arts in Political Science from Villanova University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Wake Forest University.

Vice Chancellor of Student Engagement

Vice Chancellor Stonecipher and her team serve IU Southeast as advocates for student engagement and learning. She develops goals and policies and conducts long-range planning to meet the needs of the campus, and oversees Enrollment Management, Office of Admissions, Campus Life, Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, Counseling and Psychological Services, Housing and Residence Life, and Marketing and Communications. Vice Chancellor Stonecipher earned her Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from DePaul University.

Interim Vice Chancellor Joe Glover

Joe Glover, MBA, CFRE
Vice Chancellor of University Relations

Vice Chancellor Glover is the chief university relations officer for IU Southeast. He develops policies and procedures and establishes long-range plans to direct the campus’ philanthropic, alumni, and community engagement efforts. He oversees The IU Southeast Office of Alumni Relations, Office of Development, and campus special events and projects. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Vice Chancellor Glover graduated with distinction from IU Southeast with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. Glover also earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the IU Southeast School of Business. Glover also earned his Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy from IU Indianapolis. Vice Chancellor Glover has held several management positions at IU Southeast over his 20-year career. He is a lifetime member of the IU Alumni Association and is an involved member of the Southern Indiana community where he serves on several volunteer committees and non-profit boards.

Interim Vice Chancellor Ashley McKay

Ashley McKay, CPA
Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance

Vice Chancellor McKay is the chief financial and business officer for IU Southeast. She provides leadership, management, and stewardship for all aspects of campus financial and physical resources while ensuring institutional integrity and sustainability with a focus on the common goal of student success. In this role, McKay guides the development, implementation, and monitoring of the campus operating and capital budgets from multiple sources of funding. She oversees accounting services and facility operations. She also is the campus liaison to administrative shared services for Human Resources and the Police Department and oversees the bookstore relationship with Follett and other sub-contracted services. Vice Chancellor McKay earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Indiana University Southeast. She is a certified public accountant in the State of Kentucky and an adjunct lecturer in the School of Business at Indiana University Southeast.

Nick Ray
Regional Chief Information Officer

Nick Ray serves as regional Chief Information Officer (CIO) for all IU regional campuses and Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus. In this role, Ray identifies and communicates the technology implications for strategic goals, and serves as an advocate for the development and use of information technology in teaching, research, and service. His responsibilities include operational, strategic, and fiscal planning for all aspects of technological innovation, advancement, and implementation. He was appointed to this position in 2019.
