Mary Lou Hess
Biography
Mary Lou Hess has been a printmaker for more than 25 years. She studied with Virginia Fitzmarten Brunner, of Pratt Institute, and Susan Moffett, of Indiana University Southeast.
Hess' work has been exhibited widely, including at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the University of Wisconsin National Small Print Exhibition and the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, D.C., as well as at the Carnegie Center for Art and History in New Albany. Her work has won regional and national recognition, including awards from Purdue University, the Ohio Valley Annual, the Northern Illinois Art Fest and numerous art fairs. She is a longtime exhibitor at the annual St. James Art Show in Louisville, Kentucky.
