Biography



Ferdinand Walker was a native of Mitchell, Indiana, and opened his first studio at the early age of 24 in New Albany, Indiana. Walker traveled abroad to Europe on two separate occasions to study and work. In the Wonderland Way Club, Walker is said to be the most schooled in his art profession. Walker has two portraits hanging at the Boone Tavern in Berea, Kentucky, and a portrait of Henry Watterson in The Courier Journal Building in Louisville, Kentucky.
