This is a multi-disciplinary program that takes you inside the nervous system and its relationships to mind and behavior, helping you understand how the brain and nerves are important for a range of abilities including thought, speech, learning, mental wellness and sensory functioning. This type of cross-disciplinary understanding is increasingly important both in research and psychology-related careers.

Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary field that involves psychology, biology and chemistry, but can also include other areas such as computer science, communications or philosophy. Part of this field involves scientific research about the nervous system, while another involves applying knowledge of the nervous system to diagnosing and treating human disorders.
