Family & Parent Programs
IU Southeast Welcomes Families and Parents to this Academic Year!
Family and Parent Programs (FPP) strives to connect students, parents and family members to the campus community and culture. Through collaboration with other campus units, Family and Parent Programs engages in parent and family outreach; communicates information of campus resources; and encourages involvement in campus activities and events, which promotes the value of higher education.
As a result, we have created this webpage especially for you!
We understand that being a parent or significant other of a busy and energetic college student comes with its joys, challenges, and funny frustrations, so we are here to help. From time management to getting involved, from financial aid to paying the bills, we know that students often will not seek help but will struggle in silence when questions in these areas arise. Our goal is to provide you, the parent/significant other, with links to the resources so you can assist your son, daughter, or significant other through the issues students occasionally encounter. The special links on this page will be helpful; there is also a “to-go-to” professional available to help.
Explore the campus calendar for upcoming events to attend. Investigate and register for the Parent's Perspective newsletter for topics of interest about college life (register today at MyStudentBody - use iusparent as the school code). Remember, knowledge is power, so arm yourself with all you need to know to make sure you and your student have a successful college experience.
