Program Review
In accordance with the policy adopted by the University Faculty Council (April 13, 1993), IU Southeast has implemented a system of regular periodic reviews (once every 5-7 years) for all academic programs to aid in continuous improvement. In each case, outside peer reviewer(s) mutually agreeable to the faculty and administration are used. Appropriate support services and information are provided to the unit and the reviewer(s). The faculty of the program under review prepares a mission statement and a statement of goals to be used by the reviewer(s). Program review is important for accreditation compliance with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) (specifically and most explicitly, criteria 4A1; also, 1A2, 3A3, 4A5, 4C1, 4C2, 4C3, and 4C4).
Academic programs that are IU Online collaborative programs are reviewed by the Office of Collaborative Academic Programs at Indiana University Bloomington. Please contact ocap@iu.edu for details.
