BA Distribution Requirement (Updated 7-22-2016)

In addition to the campus wide General Education requirements, BA degree candidates must select additional courses as described below. They must obtain a minimum grade of D– in all courses used to fulfill the distribution requirements. There is no limit to the number of hours a student may take in any one discipline. In some rare instances, it is possible to "double dip" BA Distribution courses with some General Education Core courses and major courses. When "double dipping," the minimum grade required is the higher of the two. The additional distribution requirements, can be found on your AAR, in the IUS Bulletin or as follows:

Foreign Language requirements

Bachelor of Arts degree candidates must complete four semesters or equivalent of a single foreign language.

Central Ideas, Issues and Methods of Inquiry in the Natural Sciences

In addition to the five credit hours required for the campus general education program, choose one additional course for a minimum total of 8 credit hours in the natural sciences. One course must be in the life sciences and one course must be in the physical sciences.
