Biography
Research Methods, Juvenile Delinquency & Juvenile Justice, Victimology
My research interests include race and crime, victimology, and policing. My colleagues and I are working on research that assesses police in the school setting. Additionally, we have a number of works in the pipeline that examine Black youth and their disparate treatment in the juvenile justice system. Further, we are working on several studies in the area of victimology including a meta-analysis that examines sexual assaults resulting in injury and research on rape resulting in homicide. Some of my published works can be found in Crime & Delinquency, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Social Problems, Journal of Crime and Justice, Violence and Victims, and Homicide Studies. Recently, I worked with the Lifeskills Center for Child Welfare Education and Research to conduct research in the area of child welfare and to pursue grant activity. In addition to my research, I am actively involved with the rape and domestic violence shelter.
