Biography
Chris Ralston serves as a Career Coach and Employer Liaison in the IU Southeast Center for Career Development and Mentoring. He works with current students and alumni on career exploration, job and internship searches, resume reviews, mock interviews, and other tasks to enhance their ability to access a rewarding career.
Chris received an Associate of Science degree in Optometric Technology from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1987. That same year he was named the IU School of Optometry Optician Student of the Year. Following graduation Chris joined the staff of the IU School of Optometry as a Clinical Instructor.
Chris completed his Bachelor of General Studies degree at Indiana University Southeast with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences in 1993. Following graduation he spent the next 23 working in primarily social services based positions. This included 20 years with Greater Clark County Schools where he served as Home School Advisor, Attendance Officer, School Safety Specialist, McKinney Vento Homeless Liaison, and Juvenile Court Liaison.
Chris has always enjoyed the excitement and endless possibilities that a college campus has to offer. His college experience had a profound impact on his life and he enjoys helping current students find that same experience for themselves.
Chris is a certified MBTI practitioner.
