Biography
Dr. Alexandra Sousa is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Communication. She received her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and her research focuses on issues of diversity and inclusion within organizations. In particular, she is passionate about exploring the communication processes that occur within institutions and industries about diversity and inclusion, and how such messages and narratives impact marginalized groups. She is also interested in successful conflict management of issues regarding identity, maintaining a positive and supportive organizational climate, and facilitating positive dialogue about inclusion.
She is teaching courses in organizational communication, communication theory, crisis management, conflict resolution, leadership, and research methods.
