Biography
Georgette returns to IUS where she teaches Directing I and has taught Script Analysis. Georgette has been a member of the adjunct-faculties at the University of Louisville, Jefferson Community College, and Spalding University. She has written four children’s theatre scripts and the book for the full-length musical Out of the Habit, produced at Derby Dinner Playhouse in 2002 and is a member of AFTRA (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), VASTA (Voice and Speech Trainers Association) and the Dramatists Guild.
Georgette is in her fourteenth year at the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville where she serves as Chair of the Theatre Department. She has worked in professional theatre as a playwright, director, actor, and producer. Locally, she has worked with Derby Dinner Playhouse, the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, Music Theatre Louisville, Pleiades Theatre Company, Pandora Productions and Stage on Spring. While living in New York City, she worked and studied at Ensemble Studio Theatre and Manhattan Class Company.
