Biography
Jennifer Johanningsmeier is a musician who resides in Southern Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Indiana University Southeast, and her Master of Arts in Teaching from Bellarmine University. While maintaining a private studio of flute and piano students, Jennifer also is an elementary music teacher at Jonathan Jennings Elementary School in Charlestown, Indiana. There she is also the co-director of an after school performing arts group, JJ Beats,that aims to spread the message of kindness and acceptance through music, theater, and dance. Jennifer is also an adjunct professor of music at Indiana University Southeast, teaching an online Rudiments of Music course.
Jennifer has musical directed and performed in productions at CenterStage, Hayswood Theater, Clarksville Little Theater, The River Pops, and numerous high schools. Favorite shows musical directed include, 9 to 5, Assassins, Sondheim on Sondheim, Mama Mia, and Disaster. Favorite shows played include Beauty and the Beast, Big River, The Little Mermaid, Kiss Me Kate, Into the Woods, Smokey Joe's Cafe, The Wizard of Oz, and Mary Poppins.
