Biography
- As one of my favorite bands famously sings, "What a long, strange trip it's been." My students get to know me as a professor, but I hope they also get to know me as a person too. I'm getting along in years (49), and I am married with two sons. My family is my crew. We do most everything together. And, like many professor's families, we have had to move a lot. I stress "a lot"! Since we were married fourteen years ago, my wife, Erin, and I have lived in five states (Kentucky, where our first son was born; Ohio, where our second son was born, and where I attended Kent State to earn my PhD; North Carolina; Utah; and, Indiana). My wife and I both consider Louisville, KY our home, but I was born in Metairie, LA, moved to New Jersey, and then finally landed in KY. I guess my hobbies are not overly original. I love to cook, play music, and I have fond memories of playing sports (now I just live vicariously through my boys).
