Biography
Dr. Wert came to IU Southeast in 1999. He currently teaches courses in Introduction to American Politics, Constitutional Law, and Research Methods at the undergraduate level. He also teaches American Political Institutions and Data Analysis courses at the graduate level. His research interests include American populism, and public opinion and the presidency. He is currently serving as the program coordinator for Political Science, and also as the faculty director for the Social Sciences collaborative online graduate programs. An animal lover, Dr. Wert serves as Treasurer of the Floyd County Animal Rescue League. He lives in New Albany with his wife and two cats.
