Nursing License

NCLEX Examination Process

Evidence of completion of the baccalaureate of science in nursing  is required before graduates may apply to take the National Council State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) NCLEX-RN examination.

Application to take the NCLEX can be completed before graduation, but the Authorization to Test (ATT) is not approved by the Board of Nursing (BoN) in the state where the examination will be taken until the BoN receives notification from the School of Nursing that degree requirements have been fulfilled.

APPLY: Kentucky & Indiana State Licensing
REGISTER: Authorization to Test (ATT)

When you have received the authorization to test (ATT), you may go to the PearsonVUE website and register to take the examination. Locations of testing sites are also found on PearsonVUE.

STUDY: Test Review

Once you have received your test date, return to the NCSBN website to review the what to do before, during and after the NCLEX so you will have the best opportunity for passing the first time.
