Fear of speaking in public, also known as Glossophobia, affects up to 75% of the population but those who develop skills have an advantage over those who choose to avoid such situations. Strong public speaking abilities improve communication skills, provide confidence, demonstrate knowledge of a subject, and afford the self-confidence to take on leadership roles.
In five short lectures aimed at imparting practical tips and techniques, students can immediately overcome the natural reluctance to speak in front of a group. Participants will engage in practice activities in a supportive environment that are designed to encourage incremental growth and confidence. Students will have the opportunity to deliver a brief structured talk to the class by the last lesson.
This course is for the professional wanting to refresh their skills or for new professionals wanting to add a new skill set to their abilities.
