2010 Reaccreditation
The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association has awarded IU Southeast with reaccreditation status. Universities across the nation voluntarily seek accreditation from nongovernmental bodies to evaluate the educational institution in terms of its mission and the agency’s criteria. Accredited institutions assure the public that the university is providing exceptional quality and is open to continuous self-improvement. In an exit interview with Chancellor Sandra R. Patterson-Randles, team members with more than 20 years of experience completing reviews praised IU Southeast for its exemplary leadership and “phenomenal” strategic planning, and said it was among the best run institutions they had encountered.
