Mathematics
In order to succeed in such studies, mathematics majors must develop skills in computation, logic, intuition, analysis and construction. During four years of college work, mathematics majors learn basic mathematical concepts in the areas of differential and integral calculus, abstract algebra, probability and statistics, geometry and topology, real and complex analysis, numerical analysis and computer sciences and others.
